Temporary Position: Maternity Leave cover for Programme Manager – ASEAN AND BILATERAL PROGRAMMES (April-September 2013)

Deadline 1 March 2013

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing around twenty projects, with a total cost of up to £600,000 from April to September 2013.

Main duties includes

  • Project Management: to ensure the highest standards of financial management, including quantitative and qualitative analysis of costs to verify value for money.
  • Project development: to contribute to project design and the development of high quality interventions which deliver UK policy objectives;
  • Monitoring and evaluation of projects: to validate expenditures and activities in conjunction with project implementers, and to assess and report on the achievement of objectives and purpose;
  • Building and maintaining relationships with project stakeholders: to ensure robust programme management.

Skills Required

  • Strong organisational, analytical, financial and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer focus.
  • Personal drive and the ability to be a self-starter as well as a team player.
  • Flexible, resilient under pressure and decisive with a proven track record of delivering results to a high standard within tight deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A college/university degree;
  • Some experience of project management, including finance and budget management;
  • Fluent in English, as well as Bahasa Indonesia;
  • Competence in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Office, Internet required; experience with Oracle systems and databases preferred.

Trade and Investment Manager (Permanent Contract)
Deadline 24 February 2013

Main duties

  • To help UK companies in the Environment, Mining and Water sectors take advantage of business opportunities in Indonesia.
  • Identify opportunities for British companies to win business in Indonesia and devise strategies to ensure these are effectively promoted to British business;
  • Contribute to the business planning process and deliver related projects, events and activities, including inward missions, outward missions, seminars, exhibition groups and workshops;
  • Manage client relationships, including building and maintaining a network of relevant contacts in the UK and Indonesia;
  • To provide briefing on sectors and companies for the Director of Trade and Investment, the Ambassador, visiting officials and VIPs;

Requirements

  • A degree plus at least two years experience, or five years experience (in lieu of a degree) of working either in the private sector or international trade (market research experience would be advantageous);
  • A self-starter, able to work independently and on their own initiative to deliver high quality work to tight deadlines;
  • A proven track record of successful relationship management with international clients;
  • Events and project management skills;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent English, both written and spoken;
  • The job holder must be prepared to travel to the UK and within the region;
  • Some evening and weekend work will be required.

Digital and Media Officer (Permanent contract)
Deadline: Feb 13, 2013

Main duties:

Digital and social media

  • Manage the English and Indonesian versions of the embassy website, developing content as necessary
  • Design and deliver social media campaigns to achieve embassy objectives
  • Evaluate the success of web work and social media, including setting key performance indicators, monitoring visitor statistics, feedback and participation
  • Provide technical assistance in Public Diplomacy activities by taking photographs and recording videos of events for use on the website and social media
  • Writing and translating news materials for the website and social media

Media

  • Monitoring of Indonesia media, including evaluation of Embassy media campaigns
  • Working with a senior officer, act as point of contact for routine enquiries by Indonesian media
  • Point of contact for public enquiries (letters and emails from members of the public)
  • Provide AV (photograph and video camera) and logistical support for embassy media operations and major events

Requirements

  • A bachelor degree majoring in computer science, journalism, social and political science, public relations is preferred
  • Excellent editorial skills with a sound understanding of writing for the web and social media skills to interact with audience on a regular basis
  • Solid experience in managing dynamic and interactive websites
  • Knowledge of digital trends
  • Excellent knowledge of a range of applications and software including social media platforms, content management systems, image-editing software, MS Windows
  • Basic graphic design skills would be an advantage
  • Excellent English and Indonesian language skills, both written and spoken
  • Proficient in MS Office

Corporate Services Officer – IT & Admin Support (1-year fixed term contract)
Deadline: Feb 13, 2013

Main duties

  • Providing support for all IT equipment
  • Improving technical support at post through:
  • Maintaining as well as supplying guidance and advice on the Embassy’s F3G IT system
  • Creating a replacement stock cycle from F3G inventories on quarterly basis
  • Maintaining & providing support for Embassy website, stand-alone computers and laptops
  • Maintaining and testing Business Continuity Plan equipment
  • Providing support for the Embassy’s telephone equipment in our Embassy buildings
  • Work closely with Embassy and RCSC colleagues on finance administration and undertake Cashier duties
  • Manage and monitor Embassy’s estates database and property management system (Pyramid)

Requirements

  • Minimum D3 degree in IT or related field
  • At least 1 year experience in IT support, preferably in multicultural organisation
  • Strong knowledge of IT applications and MS Windows
  • Excellent English and Indonesian language skills, both written and spoken
  • Proficient in MS Office
